As a big rugby fan (or at least before coming to live in Portugal) I hope the Portuguese pay more attention to Rugby.

Watch the Lobos (wolves) in action here and be prepared to be amazed by the fact that the team is unique. It is entirely amateur and they have managed to get to the Final stages of this year’s Rugby World Cup.
What’s more one of the players shares his name with my street

Luis Pissarra

Luis Piçarra
Find out more on two great rugby blogs here (in Portuguese) and here (in English).
Now come on Portugal beat the All blacks (ok I’m dreaming here) and give England a great opponent in the final (England in the Final??? That’s more than dreaming!
)
Sign the petition to show the Portugal games on Open National television. (No serious rugby fan is ever going to pay €20+ on SportTv (which should really be called FootballTv) :

Update 17 Sept- All the matches can be seen publicly in Amoreiras Plaza. + Congratulations to Os Lobos… scoring against the All Blacks is more than England could do to the Springboks!

You are right!
Shame on national public portuguese TV.

Thanks for the comment
Pedro.
Great video you have on your blog too. Shame Sic couldn’t show more than just the national anthem and a few shots from the game.
